One of the top 50 inspirational women in healthcare is Andrea Sutclilffe the Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care for the CQC (Care Quality Commission).

The awards run by the Health Service Journal (HSJ) celebrate the most inspirational women who stand out for their passion and ability to innovate and drive forward transformational change.
Accordingy to the HSJ Judging panel, “Andrea is inspirational not just in what she does, but in how she does it. She’s confident without being arrogant, ambitious for her work not herself, and always focused on the good she can do for others.”
Ms Sutcliffe said: “I feel honoured to be included in the HSJ Inspirational Women list and would like to thank the judges and anyone who took the time to nominate me.
“I am also humbled by the company I am keeping – there are some fantastic women on this list who are making a huge difference in the health and care world. Alison Cameron, Gill Phillips and Dr Kate Granger have all used their personal experiences and understanding of services to lead the way in improving care. They are truly inspirational.”
