Mental Health

mental health

At Serenity we understand that living with a mental health condition can be very challenging for the sufferer and their friends and family.

Our specialised and experienced management team take time to listen and understand that this may be a long journey and stand alongside our clients all the way. Our personalised care is designed with your hopes and ambitions in mind and encourages you to lead and live a life as independent as possible.

Our highly trained professional staff will be happy to have an initial consultation with you but here are some of examples of what we can offer.

Serenity Service Examples:

  1. Support
We support people with a wide range of mental health needs including personality disorder, bi-polar disorder, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, dementia and schizophrenia.
  2. Reablement
We enable people with mental health needs to fulfil their potential on a long term basis. Person centred planning enables us to undertake detailed care and relapse prevention planning whilst measuring progress by working towards a set of realistic outcomes.
  3. Involvement
We ensure that you will be involved in as many aspects of planning your services as you wish including selection of, training and recruiting staff. We will use Pro-active Risk Management to support initiatives for you to become active members of your communities, including employment and education. This not only helps to increase social and emotional well-being but also decreases the stigma that can be attached to people with mental health needs.
  4. Partnerships
We have an excellent working relationship with community mental health teams and a record of re-integrating people back into local communities. By working closely with community teams we are able to provide consistent and appropriate responses if there are periods of deterioration and in doing so prevent revolving door admissions to in-patient services.
  5. Training
We have a continuous professional development programme that our staff undertake that include specialist mental health training which enables them to support people with mental health needs to take control of their own lives.
